For people who like gardens, the centre of France is the place to be! Due to the amount of castles in the region, more and more gardens are being renovated and opened to the public.

A particular garden of beauty is the castle garden of Apremont-sur-Allier, a couple of kilometers north of our estate, along the banks of the Allier. The castle’s garden has been opened since 1977 for public viewing and is a true flower garden in English style.

Gardeners who love art must certainly pay at least one visit to the “Jardins Artistiques de Drulon” in the west of the Allier. Every year the garden of Drulon, the castle and its buildings receive an international exhibition of statues and paintings from fifty artists, throughout the season there are also many other events held at the castle and its grounds.

The three photographs to the top right of this page are all of the gardens of Drulon. From April to the beginning of October the gardens are open to the public daily between 10.00 and 18.00. The photograph underneath is the splendid village Apremont sur Allier.
