We are here to ensure that your stay with us is enjoyable, memorable and successful! However, we do ask out of courtesy that all anglers please adhere to the list of rules and regulations below.

All anglers must deposit £50 on arrival. This will be refunded when you leave. All rules must be adhered to during your stay. Bailiffs, or their representatives, have the mandate to check that you obey the rules at all times. Any person found to be in breach of the rules will be asked to leave and forfeit their £50 deposit. Enjoy!

 

RULES OF CARP FISHING

TACKLE

  • Maximum of 3 rods per paying angler
  • No barbed or bent hooks, including whisker & crushed barbed
  • No shock leaders
  • No Braid as main line, braid hook links are allowed
  • Maximum main line 15lb, minimum 8lb on all rods
  • Hook link material must not be stronger than the main line
  • Spider wire & Fire line are banned
  • Maximum hook size 2
  • No death or fixed rigs, semi fixed must easily come apart
  • No Carp Sacks or keep-nets
  • Carp Slings must be LARGE
  • Bait Boats by prior agreement only when booking
  • Each peg must have a minimum 42 inch landing net

BAIT

  • No Peanuts
  • Tiger nuts can be used as hook bait only
  • All particles must be inspected by the bailiffs to check they are suitably soaked or cooked
  • No live baiting

FISH CARE

  • Unhooking mat must float & be of at least Euro size (50mm thick & 950mmx700mm)
  • Each peg must have Carp Med, Klin-ik or similar
  • Each peg must have a good quality pair of unhooking forceps
  • All fish caught must not be out of the water for more than 5 minutes.

ENVIRONMENT

  • No open fires or barbeques on pegs, barbeques are allowed in the designated areas
  • No litter
  • All bivies must be green or camouflage
  • Bite alarms MUST be connected to sounder boxes & turned down to a low setting between 8pm & 8am, sounder boxes can be hired on booking
  • No bright beams or high power lamps to be used
  • No swimming in the lake
  • No loud radio's or TV''s
  • Cars to be kept in car park after unloading
  • All anglers, bailiffs & locals must be treated with respect & courtesy at all times
  • Be sure to respect our countryside and wildlife at all times
  • Rowing boats to be used only with the permission of the Bailiff.
