Fly fishing for trout is probably one of the most exciting ways there is to fish. All non fishing people say “how can you sit there all day?” When you are fly fishing you have no time to sit, it’s busy from the minute you start. Casting your fly as far as you can, anticipating the reaction of the trout, feeling the take, striking at the right moment and the battling to bring in your catch.

The smallest of trout will give you a fight to remember!

 
All this excitement is set in the peace and tranquillity of the French countryside at its best. Our lake is three and a half acres and has easy access all the way around it. The lake has over a thousand head of trout and is regularly stocked to maintain that level.

Whether you are a beginner or an old hand at fly fishing I’m sure you will enjoy what’s on offer.

* These times will change during the winter season and the start times will be from sunrise till sunset or the end of the session will be indicated by a siren.

Fish can be purchased at 5 euros per small trout and 10 euros for the big (45 cm) trout

Fly-fishing equipment can be supplied. This includes rods, reels, lines, flies and landing nets. Lessons in the basic principles of Fly-fishing are also available.

Our season for fly fishing is from the beginning of October till the end of May. The reason for this is because of the rise in temperature of the lake during the summer. The last weekend of the season will be open fishing, whereby all the trout that are caught can be taken. The price for this will be 50 euros per person per day, and will be on a first come first serve basis.

We will then be in a position to offer Carp fishing for those of you that would like to carry on fishing through out the year. Please refer to our Carp fishing page.
